Life-long Detroiter Adam Hollier officially announced his run for state senator for Michigan’s 2nd District this week. Hollier secured CDJ & Associates to manage his PR & Media for the campaign. Adam Hollier, who is 32 and a Democrat, will launch his kick-off campaign fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 6th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Detroit Mogul Dennis Archer Jr.’s Restaurant, Central Kitchen, 660 Woodward Avenue in Detroit.
Detroit, MI, November 26, 2017 — “We need to ensure that what happened last November doesn’t happen again! Restoring leadership that operates with proficiency and integrity, starts with electing capable, authentic, honest leaders in the state legislative districts,” said Hollier, the Director of Government and Community Relations at the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
CDJ & Associates is run by C.D. Jamerson known as the midwest's own Olivia Pope. “We are excited that the campaign has brought us on. Our team affectionally known as The Gladiators will grind non-stop to help catapult him to success. We not only are looking forward to building this campaign, but we also strongly believe in this candidate.”
“I’m running because the current system does not work for all people. If we don’t transform our policies, hard-working people will continue to make less than a living wage,” said Hollier, who is married and expecting his first child this winter. “Public education will remain under-performing and underfunded. Our communities need to be in position to offer our children opportunities to live an even better life than we have.”
Hollier who also has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from University of Michigan shares, “I always wanted to be a builder, starting with Legos to now buying an old home near my childhood neighborhood and renovating it. I continue to have a builder’s heart and I am always brainstorming about how can I help build a better tomorrow. 'It’s a part of my DNA.' My dad was a Detroit Fire Captain and my mom was a social worker. Their untiring examples of selfless service still resonates with me today,” continues Hollier who additionally serves as a part of the United States Army Reserve 414th Civil Affairs BN and as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
The campaign kick-off event will continue the theme of “giving back” by serving as a conduit to aid the local community. All guests of the kick-off are asked to bring new hats, gloves or scarves in child or adult sizes to be given to those in need.
The 2nd District includes northeast Detroit, Grosse Pointe City, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Shores, Grosse Pointe Woods, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, and Highland Park.
