MIT Pune’s Vishwashanti Gurukul Offers Visual Art Courses Helping Children Develop a Sense of Aesthetics


Pune, Maharashtra — 12/28/2017 — With the objective of developing a sense of aesthetics in children, MIT Pune's Vishwashanti Gurukul offers visual art courses, which is a compulsory subject from Nursery to Grade 8. In grade 9 and 10, the students can take up Art and Design as a subject in Group 5 (creative and vocational). At IBDP level, students can take up Visual Arts as a subject in Group 6 (Arts).

Modules are taught using a variety of teaching and learning methods including lectures, workshops, participation in various competitions, exhibitions in the school and in the city, etc. for a holistic growth of each and every candidate. The students also appear for the Elementary and Intermediate Drawing grade examinations, conducted by the government of Maharashtra. This forms a strong foundation for the students who want to take up a career option in fields related to Visual Arts, like Fine Art, Architecture and various branches of Design.
