NEWPORT BEACH, CA – 02-26-2019 (PRDistribution.com) — Athens Advisors and ADVNC Lacrosse today announced a collaboration agreement to offer college planning services to elite high school lacrosse athletes.
ADVNC Lacrosse, one of the west coast’s leading club lacrosse organizations, will expand its portfolio of services by offering college counseling and exclusive workshops for its members. The services delivered by Athens Advisors will supplement the existing ADVNC Lacrosse mentoring programs for its athletes and their families.According to a four-year longitudinal study by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), one-on-one meetings with college planning counselors greatly affect students’ futures. Students are three times more likely to attend college and are twice as likely to attend a four-year college after meeting with trained counselors. Athens Advisors co-founder Joe Romano said, “There’s a lot of research indicating the importance of college admissions experts guiding students through the key stages of college planning. We are delighted to have ADVNC Lacrosse place their trust in us to work with their athletes and their families as they navigate this process.”Chris Rotelli, the Founder & CEO of ADVNC Lacrosse says, “Ever since we started ADVNC, helping our players find the college that is the best fit for them has been central to our mission.Even if a player doesn’t play lacrosse beyond the high school level, almost all of our players will attend college. We share a common set of values with Athens Advisors and have worked hard to ensure our families get priority access to their expert team. Plus, the fact that Athens Advisors has two founders who not only played and coached college lacrosse, but currently coach with ADVNC Lacrosse make this a natural fit and I believe our goals are aligned in the best interest of the players
