Solomon Dasko (Al’Jaleel McGhee) follows a recovering heroin abuser holding on to his dream to become a famous blues singer. When Solomon meets a lonely, schizophrenic guitar teacher who “sees” something in him, a convenient friendship ensues as Solomon struggles to stay clean.

Solomon Dasko was birthed from French Onion Soup, a feature screenplay, also written by Washington, D.C. based, filmmaker, Eulonda Kay Lea of Eustress Entertainment. The film was directed by Yaphet Jackman of Bent Street Films. This collaborative project between Eulonda and Yaphet serves as the proof of concept for the French Onion Soup feature film.
