BROOKLYN, NY – 11-01-2018 (PRDistribution.com) — Record heat and high winds have combined to create a wildfire nightmare in California. Deadly fires, including the infamous Carr and Tubbs fires which both received national attention, devastated tens of thousands of acres of land. Thousands of homes in Northern California were destroyed.
Victims of the wildfires desperately needed assistance and Eugene Burger Management Corp –which has a large footprint in Northern California-, made it a corporate policy to help their communities recover and rebuild.
The fires deeply impacted EBMC employees. One employee lost her home entirely. Fifteen more were evacuated and away from their homes for over two weeks. All of them still came to work every day.
EBMC went all out to help. In addition to using their own resources to help, EBMC gathered other management companies to work together to help all fire victims.
Carra Clampitt, Senior VP with EBMC at their Rohnert Park office took action to help residents of the community at The Oaks at Fountaingrove. This community was totally destroyed and needed immediate help to rebuild.Ms. Clampitt took an active role in coordinating legal, insurance, architecture, business and rebuilding to restore this community.
Another example of EBMC dedication to its communities comes involved employee Josh Nanez. He works at EBMC as Administrative Assistant during the day, but night and weekends he moonlights as a Consumnes Emergency Responder with the Consumnes Community Service District. Josh has already had the opportunity to participate in relief work for the Clear Lake fire victims. Recently, the Consumnes District Fire Department and the Consumnes Emergency Response Team worked in tandem to collect donations of pet food, pet carriers, leashes, and water.
Josh and Carra are emblematic of the dedication to community that EBMC fosters and supports.
