Fred Nachtwey, Dr. Karin Cheung, Dr. Julian Zakaand Dr. Manjari Nathan who are supporting the county facilities in Contra Costa County. All facilities have seen an influx of patients who are being admitted for symptoms related to Covid-19. Dr. Krameris the Medical Director of Critical Care at both John Muir hospitals and has been leading the efforts of Critical Care preparedness for providing the best care to patients who present with this infection.
All our infectious disease doctors with BASS Medical Group have also been working tirelessly during these stressful times. They are on the front line caring for patients in our hospitals as well as coordinating public health policies with Contra Costa County Public Health Department. Dr. Jorge Bernett, Medical Director of the Infectious Prevention Program, John Muir Medical Center, has been at the forefront with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) on recommendations to reduce the risk for infections. With the numbers and information changing by the hour, it’s imperative that these doctors remain informed and current with the latest information. After long hours of seeing patients in the hospital and in their offices, they are also working around the clock to stay up to date with the new findings for this virus.
