SEATTLE, Sept. 15, 2017 () — Seattle Seahawks season ticket holders will be able to get a discount at the team’s Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field this season by showing their new digital discount cards inside the Seahawks’ official mobile app, thanks to the help of YinzCam, the mobile app and analytics developer based in Pittsburgh.
The mobile discount card replaces the physical paper cards that season ticket holders had received in prior years and can be scanned at the point of sale inside the club’s flagship shop or merchandise stands throughout the stadium, as well as at any of the three Seahawks Pro Shops in the region (Downtown Seattle, Renton Landing, Alderwood Mall).
By simply logging into their Ticketmaster account within the team’s iOS or Android app, a season ticket holder can claim a discount card for themselves or even transfer a card, along with tickets, to a spouse, child, friend or co-worker, to save money on the team’s newest styles of hats, jerseys, t-shirts and more.
In addition to the mobile discount card for season ticket holders, all 12s in attendance during home games will enjoy a new augmented reality feature of the Seahawks’ app this season. By pointing the app’s built-in AR viewer at specific icons within the team’s game program, videos and highlights will begin to play on the surface of the publication, bringing the printed pages to life. The game-day component is the Seahawks’ latest venture into AR after inviting fans to raise a virtual 12 Flag through their app last season.
